Generative 2028: Envisioning AI’s Leap in the Next 5 Years

Last year, I had the privilege of speaking at the MKAI Forum online, a gathering that embarked on a visionary exploration into the future of generative AI, projected into the year 2028. This forum, known for its forward-looking and inclusive approach, invited attendees to delve into the transformative landscape that generative AI is expected to shape in the next half-decade.

The session was designed to engage with a range of projections and possibilities surrounding the next evolution of generative AI. We tackled topics such as predicting the progression of AI, including advancements in algorithms, capabilities, and applications. The forum provided a platform to anticipate the societal implications these advancements might bring, reshaping industries, job markets, and daily life as we know it. A significant part of our discussion was dedicated to the evolution of human-AI collaboration, focusing on understanding how our roles might shift and how we can remain relevant in the design, oversight, and deployment processes of AI technologies.

A core aim of our dialogue was to ensure the equitable growth of AI, emphasizing the need for the benefits and opportunities of advanced generative AI to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or expertise. The forum abstract reflected our ambitious goal to decipher the complexities and potentialities of generative AI’s growth, aiming to inspire proactive strategies, encourage informed discussions, and lay the groundwork for an AI future that resonates with human values and aspirations.

The objectives we set for the forum included foreseeing the trajectory of generative AI by 2028 and its implications on various sectors, highlighting the challenges and proposing solutions to potential roadblocks in AI’s growth, re-imagining the human role in the era of advanced generative AI, and fostering a future-focused dialogue to guide ethical and inclusive AI development.

The forum emphasized the importance of collaboration, representation, and inclusivity in discussing the way forward, making it a pivotal meeting point for anyone interested in the future of AI. It served as a portal to 2028, engaging in groundbreaking discussions that not only anticipated the AI future but also aimed to shape it. The inclusivity of the forum, true to MKAI’s ethos, ensured that it welcomed individuals from all walks of life, providing a rich, diverse platform for dialogue.
